STORY

POP-UP FINE DINING IN THE HEART OF EAST DULWICH.

Local girl, Chloe Gounder-Forbes, has built a platform for up-and-coming chefs to devise and lay out their own menus, along with establishing a name for themselves.

We welcome next Olive & Thyme, led by Chef Christopher Bower, a British menu that reflects farm to plate mentality. We are very pleased to host our first Michelin starred chef! Scroll down for more info.

Devoted to growing, our micro-herb and veg garden is maintained on a grow-to-order basis from our kitchen and bar. We are just in the process of planting now. As the walls say ‘Please Don’t Ash In The Garnish’! Our team is also highly committed to supporting the underdogs; great and deep thought has gone into the wine list focusing mainly on rare, forgotten and indigenous grape varieties. Keeping in the theme of rotation, expect our drinks menu to rotate as well!

Please note, we always offer a Tasting menu (T) of 5/6 Courses @ £35, as well as our A la Carte menu. We can meet most dietary requirements, if known in advance. 

In addition to our main menu we do provide catering for big parties, private hire of the restaurant and private tasting events. Please contact us for any enquiries.

Moving to London at the age of nineteen, Chef Director Christopher Bower has come a long way from the neighbourhood restaurants of West Yorkshire, working in some of the most respected restaurants and with some of the most renowned chefs; restaurants including The Ivy, Harvey Nichols’ flagship Fifth Floor restaurant and Snows On The Green, with chef Sebastian Snow.

Having worked in London’s West End for some time, Christopher decided to move out and take the Head Chef position at Mello Restaurant in Beckenham Kent. He was awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand and 2 AA Rosettes.

More recently, Christopher was very proud to have spent seven years as Head Chef, followed by the post of Executive Chef for Thackeray’s restaurant Royal Tunbridge Wells. During this time, Christopher and his team were awarded 3 AA Rosettes and 1 Michelin Star among other prestigious awards.

Link Age Charity Wine Tasting

We are pleased to be hosting this event in conjunction with the Link Age Charity. We will be offering a wine flight showing the breadth of our list and a cheese and charcuterie board, supplied by Capo Caccia, a local importer of Sardinian produce. This is a delicious way to show your community spirit and support a good cause!

Doors open from 7pm – drop in and get your palates going!
