POP-UP FINE DINING IN THE HEART OF EAST DULWICH.

Local girl, Chloe Gounder-Forbes, has built a platform for up-and-coming chefs to devise and lay out their own menus, along with establishing a name for themselves.

We welcome next Chef Rob of Back Door Kitchen. From supper club roots in Bermondsey, this team have been tickling your tastebuds at various events and pop-ups over the last 5 years. Regional Italian mastery….need I say more?!! (Please note changes to opening times during the first two weeks of August. See Below) If you ever are interested in joining the Platform1 team as a pop-up chef, long-term or short-term, please do not hesitate to contact us!

Devoted to growing, our micro-herb and veg garden is maintained on a grow-to-order basis from our kitchen and bar. We are just in the process of planting now. As the walls say ‘Please Don’t Ash In The Garnish’! Our team is also highly committed to supporting the underdogs; great and deep thought has gone into the wine list focusing mainly on rare, forgotten and indigenous grape varieties. Keeping in the theme of rotation, expect our drinks menu to rotate as well!

Please note, we generally offer a tasting menu priced at 5 Courses @ £35, however A la Carte options are available on the night. We can meet most dietary requirements, if known in advance

Founded by Chef Rob and Fabio in 2011, Back Door Kitchen began as a supper club in neighbouring Bermondsey. Having grown over the years, the boys have brought a refreshing take on Italian cuisine, focusing on lesser know regional dishes. And the plates speak for themselves. This team come highly acclaimed and we are pleased to have them on board for the month of August.

SUNDAY 7TH AUGUST

“THE SUMMER COLLECTION”

This event will be a fun & informative crash course on how to pair cheese with wine, (a.k.a how to show off to your friends!) You will be presented with 4 cheeses & 4 wines and it will be up to you to discern which is the correct pairing. Have no fear as you will be guided by in-house cheese expert & enthusiast Chloe Gounder-Forbes (judge at world Cheese Awards 2011).

The event will kick off at 6pm & run for around 2 hours on Sunday, 7th August 2016
