STORY

POP-UP FINE DINING IN THE HEART OF EAST DULWICH.

Local girl, Chloe Gounder-Forbes, has built a platform for up-and-coming chefs to devise and lay out their own menus, along with establishing a name for themselves.

We welcome next Kaizen Kitchen, an “East meats West” cooking concept from Chefs Hector Godoy & Victor Valverde. Hailing from the gastronomic mecca that is San Sebastian, where they trained and started their careers, the boys also have a keen interest in the cuisines of SE Asia, which makes for a menu that packs a punch! Devoted to growing, our micro-herb and veg garden is maintained on a grow-to-order basis from our kitchen and bar. We are just in the process of planting now. As the walls say ‘Please Don’t Ash In The Garnish’! Our team is also highly committed to supporting the underdogs; great and deep thought has gone into the wine list focusing mainly on rare, forgotten and indigenous grape varieties. Keeping in the theme of rotation, expect our drinks menu to rotate as well!

Please note, we always offer a tasting menu priced at 5 Courses @ £35, as well as our A la Carte menu. We can meet most dietary requirements, if known in advance. 

In addition to our main menu we do provide catering for big parties, private hire of the restaurant and private tasting events. Please contact us for any enquiries.

“EAST MEATS WEST” COOKING

We are looking forward to welcoming Kaizen Kitchen, who are doing a long stretch from 10th Nov. 2016 – 28th Jan 2017.

The Kaizen Kitchen is the lovechild of two young chefs from San Sebastian, Hector Godoy & Victor Valverde. Having grown up surrounded by some inspiring gastronomy, they forged their careers working under some incredible chefs respected throughout the culinary world. Their collective experience includes restaurant Bodegon Alejandro, Martin Berasategui*** and Sergi Arola* of Labroche in Madrid.

Both chefs have always had a keen interest in Asian cuisine and so took as gastronomic working holiday around SE Asia, learning different techniques and exploring new exciting flavours. Hector then travelled to Iceland where he has been since 2014. Now they are back together and have created a concept that combines European food with Asiatic influences.

Get your game on, we have! Come and join us for what promises to be an epic dinner. Held in conjunction with David of Knotted Vine wines, we are presenting a 5 courses game-focused menu. David will be pairing a wine with every course, so there will be some off menu treats to discover. Inspire your palates and join us for what is going to be an incredibly fun and tasty evening.
